Completed the design of sample training pack complex for the teaching to the Kazakh language by the model of continual education «Kazakh language as a foreign and second language»
National testing center of the Ministry of Science and education of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the order of Comity of languages of the Ministry of culture and information with the aim of realization of the tasks of the State Program of developing and using languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011-2020 years on enhancing and standardization of methodology teaching Kazakh language completed the design of sample training pack complex for the teaching to the Kazakh language by the model of сontinual education «Kazakh language as a foreign and second language».
Design of sample training pack complex for the teaching to the Kazakh language lasted from July of 2011 till December of 2012. The main aim of the sample training pack complex design is enhancement of the methodology of teaching to the Kazakh language oriented on the achievement of the citizens in language proficiency by the means of Kazakh language knowledge evaluation on the basis of international experience.
In the aim of the Kazakhstan Republic President’s message execution about the necessity of universal testing system designing similar to international systems of language assessment and on the ground of this methodology teaching Kazakh language by the National testing center of the Ministry of Science and education of the Republic of Kazakhstan was founded the system of Kazakh language knowledge level assessment – KAZTEST.
Therefore Kazakh language knowledge level assessment – KAZTEST was chosen as a main stem of implementation to usage of the methodology, elaborated on the basis of the Conception of developing and implementation of the KAZTEST system approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 11 of September 2008.
Sample training pack complex for the teaching to the Kazakh language is based on the methodology of language teaching and state standards, identifying requirements language proficiency.
Sample training pack complex includes the following structural components:
- State standards identifying communicative competence of the Kazakh language knowledge (ST RK 1926-2009, ST RK 1928-2009, ST RK 1929-2009, ST RK 1925-2009, ST RK 1927-2009) – 3 000 examples;
- Sample program of teaching Kazakh language – 1 000 examples;
- Thematic lexical minimums (on five levels: elementary, pre intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced level) – 25 000 examples;
- Grammar reference book of Kazakh language – 4 000 examples;
- Kazakh language guide (on five levels) – 20 000 examples;
- Test items of KAZTEST (on five levels) – 30 000 examples;
- Study guide for preparation to the KAZTEST exams on level assessment of Kazakh language knowledge (on five levels) – 25 000 examples;
- Computer program of the Kazakh language knowledge level assessment – 5 000 examples on DVD disks.
Structural components of the sample training pack complex mentioned above of the National testing center published and edited in sufficient amount on the frame of state order and regional centers of teaching state language were supplied by them.
All state agencies, national companies and other interested organizations have been supplied free with state standards and sample program of teaching Kazakh language.
Now all competent agencies have a regulation document for making decisions about the volume of teaching and the requirements to the Kazakh language knowledge level. State standards and sample program of teaching Kazakh language assists identification and concretization of main requirements to Kazakh language acquisition officials of any institution. Requirements to teaching Kazakh language systematized according to the levels of Kazakh language acquisition.
By the means of state language implementation, identifying communicative competence of the Kazakh language knowledge standardized the methodology of teaching Kazakh language.
Methodical assistance in the form of republican seminars and qualification upgrading courses on the basis of the methodology «Kazakh language as a foreign and second language» has been rendered several times for the teachers and resource of Kazakh language.
Kazakh language teachers were achieved the new methods of language teaching and during the master classes perfected their knowledge. Designed sample training pack complex for the teaching to the Kazakh language increases the adult population Kazakh language teaching to the new level, as far as the content of structural components of the complex based on the leading international experiences and meets the contemporary requirements.
