KAZTEST system development team of National testing center of the Ministry of Education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan went on a business trip to Almaty to form a database of test tasks from May 13 to 17, 2019.
For designing test items in accordance with the regulatory documents of KAZTEST (National Standards, Test specifications, Lexical minimums) were involved linguists and methodologists of higher educational institutions, in particular, Kazakh National university named after Al-Farabi, Linguistic institute named after A. Baitursynov, Suleyman Demirel University, Kazakh National women's teacher training university.
Pre-editing of KAZTEST test items was conducted from 10 to 13 June, 2019. As experts were involved 22 specialists that practice teaching Kazakh as a second and as a foreign language and professors of higher educational institutions.
Editing was conducted from 24 to 27 June of the current year.
For the first half of 2019 formed 8000 test tasks in four types of speech activity (Listening, Reading, Writing and Lexical grammatical structure).
In a special studio of National Testing Center 750 audio tasks were recorded by professional narrators, taking into account the orthoepic norms of the Kazakh language and language proficiency levels of test-takers. Recorded audio materials of “Listening” and “Writing” blocks are designed for the first half of 2019.
